The Micro Heli Perfected January 4, 2009 This little heli is as durable as the cheaper, styrofoam, infrared types that have been sold over the last few years, but unlike these cheaper versions, it has full range of motion (left-right, up-down, side-to-side, up-down, forward-back). It is also a true hobby helicopter, so all parts are replaceable, if necessary. Great fun, especially if you have a cat or dog to "mess with."
Great little Heli January 3, 2009 What a great little r/c helicopter. It's loads of fun. I fly r/c airplanes, but never got into helis because of their difficulty. When I saw one of these little things in the hobby shop though and how easy it was to fly, I had to have one. The counter-rotating blades provide lots of stability, but by no means make it crash-proof. I was fortunate in that I have an r/c simulator on my computer so I practiced a lot on that with a similar style helicopter. If you don't have a simulator, read the instructions and get a good understanding of the controls, how they work, and start out SLOW. Take your time and learn how to perform basic maneuvers close to the ground before you try flying it around the room. Your patience and practice will be rewarded with few, if any, broken rotor-blades. It's not fast, but it isn't supposed to be. The most frustrating part is the battery. It takes approx. 20 min. to charge for a 6-8 min. flight time. Buy a couple extra batteries- you won't be sorry.
Great heli. December 28, 2008 This is my first heli, but it is lots of fun. Last year had one of those infrared ones from brookstone which was fun, but this one you can actually control! Really worth the money, tons of fun! Buy a couple of batteries so you can keep them charged and ready to go..
Great little helipcopter December 28, 2008 I purchased this helicopter for my husband for Christmas. As the previous reviewer stated, the battery lasts about six to eight minutes without recharging. My husband purchased extra batteries from a local hobby store so he could extend his "flying time." The hobby shop also suggested an additional set of rotor blades (approximately $2) as they are inexpensive and if something is going to break, it's the blades. The helicopter itself is very durable and has survived several "crash landings" in my husband's attempt to become a skilled pilot.
excellent, fun! December 21, 2008 really great 1st heli. flight time only eight minutes, bat. charges in about 40min. comes with one bat.- so buy at least 2 more. ok to crash with little or no damage. haven't broken anything yet! nitro powered is next for me.
